Due to the fact that my method of locomotion requires a special environment, I had to rebuild the parkour. A key element of this process involved incorporating water into the project. Following an online search, I recalled the inspiration for the project: a river in a mountainous landscape. Consequently, I opted to rebuild the parkour using Unity’s terrain feature. I imported the package Handpainted Grass & Ground Textures for textures and the package Lowpoly Environment - Nature Free - MEDIEVAL FANTASY SERIES for details like trees, stones, grass or the water surface.
Following this, adjustments were made to the parkour elements, incorporating the banners and coins. I maintained the original parkour design, incorporating turns and variations in player height, to ensure a seamless integration of the game elements. To encourage player participation, they must take turns and dive to collect all the coins.
Colliders were incorporated to prevent the player from moving trough the terrain. Also the possibilities of cheating in this game were removed by adding this cruitial step to the project. I added some doors, where the player is forced to interact with to get to the next stage. Finding and placing a beacon on a shelf to unlock the door is a very convenient method using the possibilities given from a 3d world.
